Chase Card Services and HGS Canada are enjoying their shining moment with tied scores as Contact Centre of the Year with over 100+ agents, and J2 Global is celebrating their status as Contact Centre of the Year with 26 – 100 agents. The annual Ottawa Regional Contact Centre Association (ORCCA) Career Excellence Awards Gala is synonymous with business excellence, and was held at the stunning Ottawa Convention Centre on Wednesday evening, September 10. The finalists must meet stringent criteria, including a focus on people development, strong employee engagement programs, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. Winning contact centres have sound channel management strategies in place, strong levels of employee satisfaction, and are active corporate citizens who support a variety of community-based events and charities. The crowd was also intrigued by guest speaker Patrick Louis, Lululemon Athletica’s Director of Guest Education Centre with over 25 years of contact centre experience. ORCCA also introduced a new Lifetime Achievement category, presented by Don Moffatt, CEO Millennium 1 Solutions. Several award recipients were recognized for their 25+ years of contact centre industry experience and were cited as an inspiration for others, including ORCCA’s own Sandra Freeman.
