Social Media & Communications Delivery Specialist – Volunteer
Volunteer Time Requirement: Estimate 5-10 hrs per month with a 1 year commitment requested.
The ORCCA Communications & Website Committee requires a volunteer Social Media and Communications Delivery Specialist to prepare and publish social media content on behalf of ORCCA, and deliver communications via other channels as appropriate.
This role will allow the volunteer to network in a leadership environment, to gain exposure and practical experience, work closely with a variety of communications professionals, and showcase your communication skills.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
❏ Source, edit and prepare relevant content for posting in applicable social media forums: (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, ORCCA website etc.)
❏ Engage social media followers – keeping the various platforms active & interactive
❏ Be aware of upcoming ORCCA activities, events and social media needs and be prepared with content
❏Feed Communications Committee with suggested content for website library, and leverage ORCCA content for social media posts.
❏ Ensure social content is edited & modified and ready for distribution in a timely manner
❏ Assist and support website updates and refresh content library when additional assistance is needed by other committee specialists members, if time allows.
❏Collaborate with Communications Committee and Executive leads to support communications strategy and delivery plans.
❏ Attend and participate in committee meetings and activities as needed. (usually 1 hour per month)
Desired Competencies & Experience
❏ Experience in social media – writing, editing, & posting content in all relevant forums
❏ Proficient working with graphics, banners, etc. as required to post on various social media forums
❏ Must have excellent writing & communication skills in English
❏ Attention to detail
❏ Experience working in a team
❏ Demonstrated skills including time management, ability to follow up
❏ Possess an interest in ORCCA and its’ role in the Call Centre/Contact Centre industry
